"God, who has... given us the ministry of reconciliation."
2 Corinthians 5:18
There’s a word that occurs 5 times in our Second Reading at Mass today: reconciliation. Clearly, St. Paul wants us to get the picture about reconciliation in these 4 verses from his Second Letter to the Corinthians! Paul says that God has “given us the ministry of reconciliation.” What is this ministry? It’s to seek out reconciliation with one another—and there’s no better time to seek reconciliation than in this season of Lent.
This Lent, whom is God highlighting for me to seek reconciliation?
Jesus, you invite me into the ministry of reconciliation; give me your grace to do this!
