Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep, but becoming fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. Luke 9:32
We are called to prayer and to have a personal relationship with our Lord. Do we recognize our Lord when he presents himself to us? What would he look like? In Luke's gospel we read of Peter, James and John seeing Jesus in his glory with Moses and Elijah. Remember they all went to the mountain for prayer. When we go to pray, do we see a transfiguration? Probably not, but we strive to be transformed into a better person. We are also called to see Jesus in others. They are not all dressed in white robes and glowing. Instead they are among us…in church, at work and on the side of the road. By encountering the least of these, we can encounter Jesus.

How can you better see Jesus in others?
Lord, grant me the grace to be a witness to your love so that I might encounter you in a greater way!
