"So should it be with you. When you have done all you have been commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.'"- Luke 17:10
In today's Gospel reading, we focus on the importance of doing the Will of God. When we decide to live for Christ and do what He has asked for us to do, the readings tell us that we need to glorify Him in all things that we do. It is very easy to be prideful at times and ignore God's Will, but we are called to be like the disciples and take action, immediately, with joy and delight.
This verse today makes me think about where in my life am I allowing my pride to stop me from doing the Will of God, and think how is God calling me to humble myself to do His Will? The Lord has this immense love for us and, as His children, we should be joyful when we go out to courageously speak about the Gospel.
Am I glorifying the Lord in everything I am doing?
Holy Spirit, help me stop being prideful, so I can humble myself and do Your Will with great joy.
