More than you can imagine

By Fr. Chuck Dornquast
On Saturday our diocese will ordain two men to the priesthood...

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”

Jn. 15:7-8

On Saturday our diocese will ordain two men to the priesthood. Deacon Don and Deacon Zach will both become living signs of the sacrifice of Christ in the world. They will be testaments of the fruitfulness of God. They are giving up everything the world holds dear. They are literally laying down their lives. Yet their lives and their discipleship already is bearing not just a little fruit, or an estimated and well calculated fruit. It’s bearing more fruit than they could have ever fathomed. To truly entrust your life to Christ means also entrusting the fruit of your life to Christ. Let us pray for these men as they lay down their lives and may they be joined by many others who make it their choice in life to do the same.

How is the Lord calling me to serve Him with my life?

Jesus, help me to trust that should I surrender my life to the Father like you, that He will bring forth great fruit!
