John 12:31-32
The prince of this world will now be cast out, and when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to myself, says the Lord
What is it about paintings, sculptures, or nature that draws us in? Many of us will take the time to meditate on these different beauties, but somehow are still left unfulfilled. Paintings can't speak to us. Sculptures aren't alive. Nature can't fully satisfy us. What can, or better yet, who can do these things?
Jesus is the one and only. But then, why do we not spend enough time with him? I know when I get to busy, he reminds me of the cross. The place where he drew and continues to draw me into, draw all of us into. For it is Jesus who can speak to us, it is Jesus who is alive, and it is Jesus who can satisfy us.
If you believe this, start living this out! Seek out the living Christ, begin a conversation with Him, and let him satisfy your thirst. For he draws us into Himself, only to pour out His perfect love. A love, that I want and need to experience in the midst of my busy days.
