Now, why delay? Get up and have yourself baptized and your sins washed away, calling upon his name.
Today is the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. Paul is the greatest evangelist the world has known. But he would not be had it not been for his conversion. He was a devout Jew who was militant in his beliefs; so much so that he though the Jews who had converted to Christianity has sold themselves out. He and his teachers wanted these Jews persecuted and punished. Paul was to lead the charge. But God had other plans. Paul did have a choice though. He could have ignored God's message, the message from Ananias, and the signs he physically saw. His heart was like ice before, but now it melted. He put his personal pride aside to listen to God's word and instruction. How often are we challenged by God in big things and in simple things? Conversion to Christ is a BIG DEAL. You are letting go of everything you knew before and taking on a new life. We all have to go through ongoing conversion. If you've been away from Christ for a while, convert and return to the Lord!
