I learned God's way

By Fr. Chuck Dornquast
"I did it my way" said no saint ever...

Luke 11:32

At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here.

"I did it my way" said no saint ever... Conversion is the invitation the Lord places before us, and in today's Gospel—invitation is the nice way of putting it. The Queen of Sheba and the Men of Nineva had all experienced a presence in their lives that caused them to change the way they understood themselves, their way of living, their understanding of the World around them. They did not stand and sing "I did it my Way" but rather "I learned God's way." I pray today that you and I might respond generously to those moments of conversion which the Lord places before us.
