"A leper came to him and kneeling down begged him and said, 'If you wish, you can make me clean.' Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched the leper, and said to him, 'I do will it. Be made clean.'" - Mark 1:40-41
Life can bring you to your knees sometimes and the only place to look is up. Have you ever had an experience where you had to beg? Maybe not for healing or food but for mercy? It certainly takes humility to beg. But when you have hit rock bottom and are in a position to lose it all, you do it wholeheartedly.
There have been times in my life when that is right where I needed to be, on my knees, begging for healing: physical healing, emotional healing, spiritual healing, healing in relationships° I have felt the Lord's healing hand on me. I know He wants to heal. I also know He wants us to bring His healing to others.
How can you bring Jesus' healing to someone today who is begging?
Lord, we trust in Your mercy and love--like the leper, we beg You to heal and strengthen us so we may courageously live Your Gospel.

Tina VerPault was born and raised in Boston. Tina is one of the youngest of 14 children. She is blessed with 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren whom she loves dearly. A long-time parishioner of Resurrection Catholic Church in Riverview, she has served as a parish secretary and director of religious education, as well as many other ministries, since 2003.
