Ps 86:1a
"Listen, Lord, and answer me"
At one point or another, if we are honest with ourselves, we can fall into doubt and wonder if the Lord really listens when we pray. There are times when we may feel that prayer is dry or we feel very distant from God. If you are feeling this way now or have experienced this in the past, take solace in the fact that Mother Theresa, St. Therese of Lisieux, and many other saints have expressed the same feelings of doubt. But here's the catch...
In times like these when we begin to doubt, think our prayer is drying up, or feel distance from God, that's the time to dig in! That's the time to cry out to the Lord, to relate these feelings to him, and trust that He is there ready to respond.
