John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."
Jesus describes himself as the way, the truth and the life. We may also say that Jesus is the true way to life. A happy and blessed life is only find in and with Jesus Christ. By following his example of loving service to others, we will have a blessed life. In a time where we have so many false prophets who pretend to show us the way to liberation and truth, we can cling to Jesus' words. Our goal is the Father in heaven. Our way is faith in his only son Jesus. If there is a true way, there are also false ways. Let us not be fooled. The first letter of John also gives us more criteria: By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. In our times of confusion, let us cling to the sacraments, the Word of God and service to the poor. In these ways we will see the face of God.
