Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6
My parents taught me that hard work and sacrifice will pay off in the long run. I have tried to live by those words, and those in today's first reading. But sometimes it's hard to make a true sacrificial investment of time, talent or treasure into a project or even an individual. It means leaving your comfort zone and letting God take control of the situation. It's easy to give the person or the cause a minimal amount of time, sharing a quick word of advice or making a token gift, just so you can say, "Yes, I participated." It takes courage to do more. The more you, "let go and let God," the greater your journey will be!
What more can I do to bring others to Christ?
Lord, give me a generous heart for you and for my brothers and sisters!
