(Vatican Radio) Here is the second installment of a 2-part collection of reminiscences and recollections produced by the Managing Editor of Our Sunday Visitor (and long-time friend of Vatican Radio), Don Clemmer, in honor of Pope Francis' 80th birthday. Pakistan's Railways and Human Rights ministries plan to run a special train over Christmas to express solidarity with the minority Christian community and promote inter-faith harmony. State-run APP news agency quoted unnamed officials saying that the special "human rights train" would be the first rail service run to celebrate a minority festival. It will depart from Islamabad on Dec. 22.Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and Federal Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael, who is the only non-Muslim minister in the cabinet, will see the train off. Vatican City, Dec 17, 2016 / 03:04 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Pope Francis will receive thousands of gifts for his 80th birthday Saturday, from heads of state and the ordinary faithful.Among these gifts are a wood-framed pair of glasses made from part of a 1,600-year-old olive tree. That gift is from Viktor and Sand Jeromil of Croatia, the newspaper Croatia Week reports. Gifts like these from the faithful are often presented to the Pope in the form of pictures. Gifts from heads of state, however, are officially delivered. By tradition, the most precious gifts are given to the Vatican Museums, the Vatican Library, or the Sacristy and Treasury Museum.
