Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
If I asked you to describe the times in which we live in one word, "peaceful" would probably be the furthest adjective from your mind. You don't have to look any further than your Facebook feed. How many times have you been shaken from a relatively peaceful state by some inflammatory post or thoughtless comment you come across. People seem more eager to argue and while there's nothing wrong with discussing disagreements these occasions too often lead to personal attacks. We as Christians are called to be peacemakers. That doesn't mean ignoring injustice and falsehood but that does mean that we should seek peaceful solutions first, understanding always that all people regardless of their opinions or politics are worthy of respect and dignity.
