Beloved:
Who indeed is the victor over the world
but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
In January, I wonder if sales of smoothies go up, as we try to diet away any extra holiday pounds. Those smoothies are delicious indeed, and there are energy boosts, protein boosts, and vitamin C boosts that can be added to the simple smoothie to make it more powerful and more filling, like a meal.
Now I wonder if our prayers increase in January as we regroup and look ahead to a new year. Who needs a confidence boost? How about a spiritual enhancer, or a refreshing peaceful feeling? Hey, those don't come in a store, you have access to prayer right now! It comes from your heart, and doesn't cost anything because Jesus already paid the price. "The victory that conquers the world is our faith" 1 John 5:4
Let's thank God today for the gift of His Son as we enjoy the fruits of prayer and maybe even a smoothie.
