Ephesians 4:32

Brothers and sisters: Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.

I heard a poll the other day that said Americans feel more divided than ever. People also feel like the division will not lessen anytime soon. It's easy to forget that people who hold views different from ours are still deserving of kindness. But the truth is Jesus calls us to even more compassion for those we disagree with. I think with all that is going on in our country and the world today we need these words of Paul more than ever before.

Today find some way to show a stranger kindness. Better still find someone you disagree with and show them compassion. The same compassion you have been shown by Christ.
